Tuna Melt

Tuna Melt
     
Ingredients
2 cans tuna—albacore is best; salmon is another variation
4 Tablespoons mayonnaise
4 Tablespoons garlic-chili flaxseed oil
1 small red onion, finely chopped
1 celery stalk, finely chopped
½ red pepper, finely chopped
Herbamare® to taste
sprouted grain English muffins
2-4 ounces cheddar cheese

Directions
Mix all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl. Toast English muffin halves. Spread tuna mixture over English muffin halves. Top with cheddar cheese slices. Bake at 400 degrees until cheese is melted.

Delectable Spinach Salad

Delectable Spinach Salad

Ingredients
1 large bag of organic baby spinach, washed
2 medium-sized tomatoes, cut in small pieces
6 scallions, trimmed and thinly sliced
5 Tablespoons organic, probiotic-rich, whole milk plain yogurt
3 Tablespoons organic extra-virgin olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
½ teaspoon fresh thyme, ground
sea salt and ground pepper to taste

Directions
Tear the spinach into large pieces and place in a large salad bowl. Add cut tomatoes and scallions. In a separate bowl, combine the whole milk yogurt, olive oil, garlic, thyme and salt and pepper. Mix well. Pour the yogurt mixture onto the spinach, tomatoes and scallion mixture. Season to taste with salt & pepper. Serve.

Apple Crisp


Quick Sprouted Apple Crisp

Ingredients
4 medium baking apples
1 ounce purified water
2/3 cup sprouted cereal
1 Tablespoon butter
2 Tablespoons raw honey, separated

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Peel, core and chop the apples. Place apples in medium-sized pot with water and butter. Cover and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes or until apples can be mashed with a fork to the consistency of apple sauce. Stir in 1 Tablespoon of honey. Pour mixture into a medium-sized baking dish.

Pour cereal evenly over apple mixture and press down with a fork. Drizzle with remaining 1 Tablespoon of honey. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from heat, let cool and serve.
